Brief History

BlueStar Consolidated began servicing a modest but growing customer base of CBA and Greentree customers. The collective skills of the team’s IT industry experience had quickly resulted in incremental growth. A few years on and with a growing profile, the company was renamed blueStar Business Solutions.

Over the next few years, the company maintained its growth momentum with repeat and referral business from a consolidating customer base. Brand awareness was now becoming a key driver of growth and as customers took-up new roles at new companies, they were recommending Greentree and blueStar to new employers. Customers had become salespeople.

By January 2008, blueStar had reached a milestone – it had tripled in size in just two years. Joanne Collinson, Managing Director, attributes the continuing growth and expansion of blueStar’s customer base beyond Queensland’s geographical boundaries, to the blueStar team.

An established local customer base provided a platform for growth into new territories. The company now has customers in NSW, across the Tasman in New Zealand, and around the Pacific region to Papua New Guinea. This could not have been achieved without the commitment, knowledge, experience, customer centric focus and ‘roll-the-sleeves-up’ attitude of staff and consultants. It’s these characteristics that define blueStar’s core values and organisational culture.
